Grant M. Scheiner is a Houston criminal defense lawyer and principal of Scheiner Law Group, P.C. He has practiced law in Texas since 1992. Mr. Scheiner established a private practice in 1995. He has extensive trial experience and has represented individual clients in a wide variety of legal matters in state and federal courts. Mr. Scheiner is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In 2006 thru 2014, Mr. Scheiner was named one of “Houston’s Top Lawyers” by H-Texas Magazine. In 2009 thru 2013, Texas Super Lawyers (Thomson Reuters publication) named Mr. Scheiner a “Texas Super Lawyer” in the categories of Criminal Law, Driving while Intoxicated (DWI) and Federal White Collar Defense. He is currently listed as one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” in the State of Texas by the National Trial Lawyers Association (2007 – present).
José Ceja is an Associate Attorney at Scheiner Law Group, P.C. in Houston. He is a former felony drug prosecutor from Arizona, where he was born and raised. Mr. Ceja has substantial trial experience, including multiple-defendant drug trafficking cases and serious violent felonies. His appellate experience includes successfully arguing and winning a case before the Arizona Supreme Court. Mr. Ceja is fluent in Spanish and highly knowledgeable in Fourth Amendment Search and Seizure law. In 2010, he joined Scheiner Law Group, P.C. as an associate and since that time has achieved outstanding results for the Firm’s clients, including dismissals, “not guilty” verdicts and grand jury “no bills” in a wide variety of criminal cases. Mr. Ceja is licensed in Arizona and Texas.
Will Vaughn was born and raised in Cypress, Texas. After graduating from Houston Christian High School, he attended Emory University in Atlanta and played two seasons on the varsity baseball team. Mr. Vaughn completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, where he studied History and Philosophy and graduated Cum Laude.Mr. Vaughn earned his Juris Doctor at South Texas College of Law where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. While attending South Texas, Mr. Vaughn served on the Board of South Texas Law Review and competed in several Varsity Mock Trial and Moot Court national competitions.
Claudia Hipps was born in Toluca, Mexico. She grew up in Los Angeles, California and moved to Houston in 1995. Ms. Hipps graduated from the High School of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice in Houston in 2003. She graduated cum laude from the University of Houston in 2014, where she obtained a Bachelor in Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish. Although Spanish is her first language, she elected to minor in Spanish, in an effort to formalize her communication skills to better assist Spanish-speaking clients at Scheiner Law Group, P.C. Additionally, Ms. Hipps is one of only 11 Board-Certified Paralegals in Criminal Law in the state of Texas.
